William Jay Iselin: A Life Discovered Edition of 125. 156 pages, 8” x 8” full color, linen-covered, hardback with half slip-cover. Text, design and editorial by Josie Iselin. Printed by Edition One Books, Berkeley, California.

My grandfather was unknown to my generation of cousins; he was killed in 1951 before any of us were born and rarely mentioned throughout our lives. This book is an act of discovery. Using the collected ephemera of letters, photographs, maps and recollections, our grandfather, an important but mysterious family figure, is brought to life. His remarkable exploits during WWII working for “Crash Intelligence” are finally revealed. Using high resolution scans, archival material jumps off the page. Josie uses her extensive book design experience to make each commissioned book a visual adventure as well as a poignant narrative.
